ARINC 807 – Installer
This course is intended for engineers, installers and operators that work with the technology in aerospace.
Theoretical aspects include principles of fibre transmission, links and measurement units, safety awareness, fibre transmission, fibre/cable construction, interconnects and hardware, harnessing techniques, labelling, basic cleaning, inspection, test & measurement.
The hands-on element of this course includes continuity testing, basic fault location, interconnect hardware identification, cable identification, wavelength visibility, basic transmission issues and faults; assembly and insertion loss test of ARINC 801 and EN4531 interconnects, end-face evaluation, correct fibre optic installation/mounting practice. To successfully complete this training each student must perform each competency in the presence of the instructor.

ARINC 807 Installer course students have the option to take the accredited ARINC Installer exam. Administered through the ETA, successful students will hold the ARINC 807 Installer qualification.
